COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE
When Paolo and Nalù Iacucci established the bag company in 1976, their goal was to make perfect object, bag bags intended for true connoisseurs and, for this reason, made by skilled hands of artisans. In 20.. Gaia Iacucci entered in the company, who thanks to the support and the passion of her parents, is carrying out the family mission. What has not changed over the years is the spirit of the company and the devotion with which each individual bag is created.
The desire to maintain the production in Italy and in particular in Abruzzo is an important value, a guarantee of absolute quality, to which Gaia and her parents have decided not to give up. Iacucci is the expression of a cultural heritage linked to craftsmanship and Italian excellence.
Over time, the most precious characteristics of pure Made in Italy have remained intact: quality, passion for detail, handmade workmanship.
CRAFTMANSHIP,
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
The entire production cycle continues to be carried out by the skilled hands of artisans, able to use traditional and ancient techniques. This is the uniqueness of the Iacucci business model.
Tradition and innovation are two parallel floors on which Iacucci has based is vision, combining capacity, tradition, research and design. A modern mindset applied to an ancient skill. LEATHER: CHOICE
AND SELECTION
The real production begins with a selection of leathers. The most common leather are calf ones. The leather is selected directly in the Italian tanneries, which guarantee top quality and certified leather.
Every consignment of leather that enters in the company is checked and evaluated by specialized staff in order to respect all the parameters. The control is performed both before and after te first cutting phase, trying to optimize the waste of the skin as much as possible.
CUTTING PHASE
The cutting phase must be precise and operated without uncertainty, with steady hand. Hand cutting is an art that not everyone can learn and realize.
Thus, when it comes to cutting by hand, the skill of the experienced craftsman come into play, who must be able to recognize the leather and identify its defects.
SEWING PHASE
The seam has two functions: the structural one, which consists in joining different leathers, lining and any addiontional parts and the decorative one, because the seam has an aesthetic value also. The tool of the craft consists of a modern sewing machine.
No mistake. Punctured with the needle of the machine and passed with thread, the precious leather is not recovered anymore.The hand stitching, made with needle and thread, is used in the phases of the detail.
QUALITY CONTROL
IThe control during the production is maniacal, the final comes after that of many others, during each phase of work. The accuracy of this control is demonstrated by certificates attesting the quality of the materials used. Quality control is the real added value to the IACUCCI product. It’s one of the most intense and important phases, as each bag is treated in detail and observed in detail. Only after this long phase can the process be considered concluded.
